Charming fishing village that offers a more relaxed and less “produced” proposal than its neighbors to the north and south, Cancún and Playa del Carmen respectively, and only 30 minutes from both. Being a quieter destination does not take away from the excellent offer of activities and gastronomy that attracts a large number of visitors year after year who do not change it for anything.
Snorkeling in the reef: In front of the main park is the dock that houses the cooperative of tourist servers, they offer snorkeling tours to the Puerto Morelos National Reef Park, an underwater jewel that offers one of the best views of the Great Mayan Reef/ Central American, the second largest in the world and the first in diversity of coral species... not to be missed.
Downtown, boardwalk and Avenida Rojo: On the weekend the central park is full of stalls selling local products and street food as well as being surrounded by cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlors, across the street is the small and picturesque boardwalk that leaves us on foot from the famous and VERY instagrammable old Lighthouse. Avenida Rojo is where the rest of the town's gastronomic proposal has been distributed and can be explored along the beautiful pedestrian walkway.

Ruta de los Cenotes: On the opposite side of the town, crossing the road, is the famous Ruta de los Cenotes, among the many options we recommend: 7 Bocas, which is a cavernous cenote with 7 different entrances where you can enjoy, in addition to the crystalline water, stalactites and other geological wonders of the region. Verde Lucero which is an excellent open cenote for recreation.
Selvática: Adventure park located within the route of the cenotes, it is a great adrenaline proposal in connection with the jungle of Quintana Roo. Zip lines and cross country experiences at the hands of professionals.
Botanical Garden: Beautiful space to learn about the endemic vegetation of the region.
Doña Triny: Classic located in the town's central park, Mexican and regional food. We highly recommend the Chicken with Mole and the Enchiladas Mineras.
Punta Corcho: Seafood with a refined and Mexican gourmet touch that our Lama enjoyed during his visit in 2019. The wood-fired oven makes all the difference. We recommend the octopus gorditas and the baked fish.
Al Chimichurri: Legendary Uruguayan grill to which visitors from Cancun, Playa del Carmen and even Tulum come in large numbers to eat a good barbecue in the best Charrúa style.
La Petita: Classic Mexican seafood restaurant by the sea, excellent for fried fish.
Los Koras: Nayarit-style seafood, for these you have to cross the road but it's worth it as long as you eat their legendary seafood quesadillas, their mixed ceviche and the traditional koras sauce
