Other Caribbean Destinations

Cozumel: The largest of all and with most of its surface destined to be an ecological reserve. Ferries leave constantly from Playa del Carmen and the crossing takes one hour. The park/reserve "El Cielo" has the most turquoise and crystalline waters that can be enjoyed in the Caribbean.

Cozumel >>

Isla Mujeres: The oldest population in the Mexican Caribbean, it is small, very Caribbean and full of color. The legendary North Beach has been voted for many years as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world - we recommend going during the week when it is less crowded -

It is recommended to rent a golf cart to tour the entire island and visit Punta Sur, a park on the southern tip of the island with spectacular views of the cliffs and open sea as well as exhibits of sculptures that surround the Mayan temple dedicated to the goddess Ixchel.

Isla Mujeres >>

Holbox: A little further away, you must travel from the Cancun or Playa del Carmen bus terminal to Chiquilá from where you take the ferry to cross the beautiful Yalahau lagoon.

Holbox is a small island that is located within the protected area by the name Yum Balam National Park, and it's also the limit where the Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico. A natural jewel with a colorful and rustic town that attracts thousands of visitors.

We recommend, in addition to visiting its beautiful beaches, taking the boat ride to Yalahau and Isla Pájaros and renting a bicycle to get to Punta Mosquitos.

Holbox >>

Bacalar: South of the Quintana Roo state, a couple of hours from Tulum, we find this beautiful town that is built around the spectacular Laguna de los 7 colores, here you can enjoy in addition to the beauty of the water, the natural wonder that is the Stromatolites, one of the oldest life forms on the planet.

We recommend taking a sailboat or boat ride to visit the Pirates Channel or take a stroll through its beautiful center, considered a Magical Town and taking photos of the Fort of San Felipe Bacalar
